Getting to Osnabrück
By plane:
Münster/Osnabrück (FMO):
The nearest airport to Osnabrück is the regional Airport Münster/Osnabrück (FMO). Lufthansa connects FMO to Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC) frequently each day.
The journey by taxi between FMO and the conference venue is about 30 minutes. We recommend to (pre-)book a taxi, e.g. via Minicar Osnabrück. It costs 45 Euros per taxi for up to 4 persons. If you do not pre-book a taxi, the metered taxi fare might be significantly higher (~85 Euros).
There is also an express bus operating (X15) once per hour connecting FMO to the city centre of Osnabrück. For further details, please see FMO's Arrival & Departure Web page.
Other airports are Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) and Frankfurt am Main (FRA). Traveling to Osnabrück via train (Deutsche Bahn) from either airport takes about 3 hours.
Hamburg (HAM) and Düsseldorf (DUS), both 2 hours away, and Cologne (CGN), 2-1/2 hours away, may also be alternatives worth checking.
By train:
Osnabrück is connected several times per hour via Deutsche Bahn. For connections and tickets, please see the Deutsche Bahn Web site. You have to buy your ticket before entering the train!The main railway station (Osnabrück Hbf) is only 10 minutes by taxi from the conference venue. The estimated taxi rate is about 8 Euros (one way). Taxis are always lining up in front of the main station.
The closest train station to the conference venue is Osnabrück Altstadt. From there is just 900 m.
From Osnabrück Hbf to Osnabrück Altstadt is just one station (2 min.) by regional train.
By car:
If you rent a car, you may take the chance to drive on the German Autobahn. Osnabrück is very close to the Autobahn A1.
